On November 28, 2024, the Research Data Share Collective and Open Access publisher African Minds co-hosted a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya to present and discuss the "Database as Book" experimental and collaborative project that we are undertaking together with the Platform for Experimental Collaborative Ethnography and COPIM Experimental Publishing Group.
The interactive, one-day event gathered "lovers of knowledge" based in Kenya to hear about the RDS' evolving project, contribute towards the project itself, and rethink notions of what is knowledge, who creates knowledge, and the value accorded to knowledge within the context of a post-maandamano world. This essay curates artifacts that were prepared for and generated from the event.
