Critical Commentary

This is the audio recording of the first panel entitled "Experimental publishing: new ways of relating around books and data" from Day 1 at the "Extending Knowledge and Publishing Infrastructures in and from Africa" Workshop held at the British Institute of Eastern Africa (BIEA) on December 8, 2025. The panel introduced what we understand experimental book publishing to be and showcased pilot projects, and experimental books, practices, and tools collected in the Experimental Publishing Compendium. Panelists included Janneke Adema, Rebekka Kiesewetter and Simon Bowie.
