AO: This recent Open Access monograph publication by Friederici et al. is particularly relevant for the macro and nano chapters in that they describe Nairobi's technology ecosystem and the entrepreneurs who work there. The authors argue that on the whole, both popular and academic discourses give inaccurate images of digital entrepreneurship in Africa and a major part of their argument is that digital entrepreneurship both on the continent and globally is diverse and locally situated.
